The Secret to Growing Out Your Eyebrows

It's no secret that the eyebrows define your face, seriously, have you seen Cara Delevigne? Find out expert tips and tricks to making yours grow in thicker faster to get the model-worthy look you desire

Past waxing and overplucking may have stopped you from reaching your #BrowGoals, but that doesn't mean you can't do a little bit of work to regain those thicker and fuller eyebrows. To find out the secrets behind great brows, we talked to Tera Sitts, a hairstylist and makeup artist based in Denver, Colorado.
"The most basic advice I can give to anyone who is trying to grow out their brows is to not tweeze or wax them," Sitts says. "Sometimes, by over-tweezing or over-waxing you can prevent future hair growth."

So put those tweezers away and cancel your reoccurring wax if you haven't already done so. Waxing can cause long-term damage to your hair follicles, which is part of the reason your hair may not grow back, something you definitely do not want.
In addition to switching up your beauty routine, promote hair growth by applying a healthy dose of castor oil every day with a q-tip, cotton ball or eyebrow brush and try hair growth supplements like biotin (note: biotin usually takes about three months before you will start to see any results). While those steps sound like more work than it's worth, when you see the fullness of your brows it will be completely worth it.
Once you've reached the fullness you desire, you can resume small touch ups by plucking stray hairs, but try to avoid over-tweezing. A little bit of concealer or highlighter will help disguise any stray brows in the meantime.

While you're waiting, you can fill in your eyebrows to make them more defined. If you need any help figuring it out, makeup artist Ivy Boyd created an easy tutorial using brow powder. You can also opt for a brow pencil or a brow gel. Experiment to find what works for you and your brows! If you're not sure where to start, here are some of our top favorite eyebrow tools to make defining them a breeze.

Sinai Hospital, New York City It was Jerry Seinfeld who gave dermatologists the "Pimple Popper M.D." moniker. The truth is, Mr. Seinfeld, we express, drain, and extract, but, we never,  ever  pop. The difference lies in the details of semantics and technique. Squeezing a blemish (often with bacteria-laden fingertips), creates a lot of inflammation in the skin, sometimes leaving behind scars and discoloration. If a zit is too big to bear, try to see your dermatologist for an injection of cortisone, or put on a bit of benzoyl peroxide to bring that baby down. Chronic breakouts should be managed with medical regimen tailored specifically to your ...
